The client's problem
A global bioenergy company, was determined to improve their biofuel sourcing as part of its long term strategy. They were facing several external and internal challenges, e.g., high price volatility, high fragmentation of suppliers and a need for higher demand flexisibility.
A strategic development plan was created to reach the targets. Oleto Associates launched a transformation plan in three separate tracks. The first track focused on improving transparency on the suppliers cost and the fuel used. The second track consisted in identifying sourcing levers for decreasing cost and increasing flexibility . The third work stream, ensured the implementation of the right execution plan.
